How shift checklists work

Shift checklist items are procedural gates — things that must be verified before or during a shift. They reset every shift and are tracked separately from your weekly tasks.

They're grouped into zones (e.g. Pre-Milking Setup, Platform & Equipment). Each zone appears as a pill in the shift widget — grey when not started, amber when partially done, green when complete.

How they differ from tasks: Regular tasks repeat weekly/monthly and track who completed them over time. Shift checklist items are daily operational checks — they don't appear in the weekly summary or count toward task completion stats. Think of tasks as "what we need to do this week" and shift items as "did we follow the correct procedure today."
